ELIGIBILITY

Applicants seeking admission to the B.A. LL.B. (5-year integrated programme) must have completed 10+2 or an equivalent examination from a recognized board.

Examination Scheme

  • There shall be a Five-Year Programme (Semester Scheme) for the degree of B.A. LL.B. for which the teaching shall be conducted through the lecture method, practical learning and class performance during the session and examination shall be conducted through written papers, practical and viva-voce at the end of each semester.
  • There shall be 05 papers in each semester i.e. total 50 papers during the course (16 arts papers and 34 law papers including 04 clinical/practical paper of law).
  • Each paper shall be of 100 marks & consist of following two parts.

(A) Written Paper 70 Marks

Theory question paper shall be divided into 02 parts viz Part-A and Part-B.

  • Section A shall consist of 05 compulsory questions of 02 marks each.
  • Section B shall consist of 07 long questions (15 marks) out of which any 04 questions are to be attempted.

Rules And Regulations

A candidate who is eligible for the promotion to the next semester shall take re-admission by submitting his/her application form along with the prescribed fee within the prescribed time as decided by university. However, in case of late admitted candidate the attendance will be reckoned from the date of admission of the candidate.

A candidate is require to pass shall obtain at least 36% in each individual paper in each semester and 50% marks in aggregate of all papers of each semester separately during the completion of his/her B.A.LL.B 5 year course.

A candidate shall be eligible for promotion to next semester subject to that he/she has secured 36% marks in each paper and 50% in aggregate in at least 3 papers out of 5 papers. Such candidate shall be eligible to reappear only two consecutive semester examination to pass remaining papers and to secure 50% marks in aggregate of all papers of that semester.

A candidate who has obtained minimum 36% marks in each individual paper and 50% in aggregate at least in 03 paper of semester (I/III/V/VII) shall be eligible to appear at the B.A.LL.B. (III/V/VII/IX) semester examination respectively otherwise he/she shall appear examination of semester (I/III/V/VII) as an ex-student.

A candidate admitted to the B.A. LL.B. programme has to complete the degree within seven academic years.

A student can apply for revaluation only in maximum (03) papers if he/she is not satisfied with marks awarded to him/her within 15 days form the date of result declaration. ere shall be revaluation fee for each paper as prescribed by the university.

A candidate who has obtained minimum 36% marks individual paper and 50% in aggregate at least in 03 paper of semester (II/IV/VI/VIII) shall be eligible to appear at the B.A.LL.B. (IV/VI/VIII/X) semester examination respectively otherwise he/she shall appear examination of semester (II/IV/VI/VIII) as an ex-student.
