Examination Scheme

  • There shall be a Three-Year Programme (Semester Scheme) for the degree of LL.B. The teaching shall be conducted through lecture methods, practical learning, and class performance. The semester examination shall include written papers, practical examinations, and viva-voce at the end of each semester.
  • The programme consists of 36 papers (6 papers in each semester), including 4 Clinical/Practical Law Papers.
  • Each paper shall consist of the following two components:

(A) Written Examination – 80 Marks

  • Theory-based written examination conducted at the end of the semester.

(B) Internal Assessment – 20 Marks

  • Assessment based on attendance, assignments, practical work, presentations, seminars, and class performance.

Rules And Regulations

A candidate who is eligible for the promotion to the next semester shall take re-admission by submitting his/her application form along with the prescribed fee within the prescribed time as decided by university. However, in case of late admitted candidate the attendance will be.. reckoned from the date of admission of the candidate.

A candidate require to pass shall obtain at least 36%in each individual paper of each semester and 48% marks in aggregate of all papers of each semester separately during the completion of his/her LL.B 3 year course.

A candidate shall be eligible for promotion to next semester subject to that he/she has secured 36%marks in each paper and 48%in aggregate at least in 4 papers out of 6 papers. Such candidate shall be eligible to re-appear only two consecutive semester examination to pass remaining papers and to secure 48%marks in aggregate of all papers of that semester.

A candidate who has obtained minimum 36% marks individual paper and 48% in aggregate at least in 04 paper of semester (I/III) shall be eligible to appear at the LL.B. (III/V) semester examination respectively otherwise he/she shall appear for the examination of the semester (I/III) as an ex-student.

A candidate who has obtained minimum 36% marks individual paper and 48% in aggregate at least. in 04 paper of semester (II/IV) shall be eligible to appear at the LL.B. (IV/VI) semester examination respectively otherwise he/she shall appear examination of semester (II/IV) as an ex-student.

A candidate admitted for the degree of LL.B. (3 year course) has to complete his/her degree within six academic year.

A student can apply for revaluation in maximum (03)papers if he/she is not satisfied with marks awarded to him/her within 15 daysof date of result declaration. ere shall be revaluation fee for each paper as prescribed by the university.
