2-YEAR COURSE

The Master of Laws (LL.M.) is a two-year postgraduate programme designed to provide advanced knowledge and specialization in various areas of law. e course enhances students' understanding of legal principles and prepares them for research, academics, and professional excellence. In the first year, students study core subjects such as Law and Social Transformation, Legal Education and Research Methodology, and Constitutional Law of India. In the final year, students choose their area of specialization to develop expertise in a specific legal field.

ELIGIBILITY

Applicants seeking admission to the LL.M. (2-year programme) must have completed B.A. LL.B., LL.B., or an equivalent law degree from a recognized university in India.

Examination Scheme

The LL.M. programme follows an annual system with a duration of two years. The curriculum consists of 5 papers in each academic year, with each paper carrying 100 marks and a duration of 3 hours. During the LL.M. Previous Year, all students study five common papers. In the LL.M. Final Year, students can choose their specialization from Corporate and Commercial Laws or Criminal Law, allowing them to develop advanced knowledge and expertise in their selected field.

Rules And Regulations

A candidate required to pass, shall obtain at least 40% in each year in each individual paper and 50% marks in the aggregate of all law papers of each year separately during the completion of his/her two years course may be awarded the degree of Master of Law.

A candidate shall be eligible for promotion to LL.M. II YEAR subject to that he/she has secured 40% marks in individual paper & 50% in aggregate at least in 3 papers out of 5 papers. Such candidate shall be eligible to reappear only in two consecutive examinations to secure 40% marks in each individual paper or to pass remaining paper & 50% marks in the aggregate of all law papers of that class.

A candidate admitted-for the degree of LL.M.- must complete his/her degree within 04 academic years beginning from the academic year in which he/she has taken admission.

A Candidate who has passed his LL.M. part-I or Part-II examinations and desires to improve his performance by re-appearing shall be permitted to do so in the immediately following year in maximum 02 papers.

Re-evaluation shall only be permitted to the candidates to apply only in maximum 02 papers of the main examination. ere shall be no revaluation in paper fih i.e. dissertation paper code 1275-B (A)
